An animation graduate from the University College for the Creative Arts, Farnham. Has worked in a professional animation studio directing and organising team projects. Very keen to revisit team environment in future roles. Holds excellent communication skills and strong creative abilities. Is looking to further career in all visual merchandiser/ creative/ design roles.

Work Experience

 Office Assistant - CollingwoodO’Hare Entertainment LTD,London. April 2006 (Internship)
 
-Worked with the production team to meet deadlines involving The Secret Show series being made for the BBC.
-Working within a team of production staff to prepare images of the new show for press releases in software such as Photoshop.
-Helped make sure all the reference material for the show was ready for the animators to use.
-Scanned in storyboard panels before editing them and labelling them correctly in Photoshop so that they were ready for the editor to create the animatic.
-Mailed letters and cheques as well as other administrative duties such as labelling tapes, stock taking of promotional tapes and keeping the store cupboards in order.

-Helped the production team with all aspects of organisation in the making of BBC series Gordon The Garden Gnome ready for animation.
-Worked directly with the editor on animatics by helping to organise, shoot and repaste the storyboard.
-Communicated with the staff to achieve the highest possible standard of work involving the storyboard management.
-Reviewed rough scripts and cleaned up provisional animation designs.
-Helped the editor to sort out sound effects and sound clips for the animatics.
-Carried out research for the company into new equipment.
-Helped production staff with updating and checking the production schedules.
-Mentored on character design and process from the in house character designer.

-First work experience placement included helping the production team prepare for the airing for it’s new series Yoko! Jakamoko! Toto! for ITV
-Learning how to create own storyboards with help of one of in house storyboard artists.
-Learning from the editor how to shoot and film story boards for upcoming episodes.
-Communicating with the production team solving problems, and planning projects.
-Taking part in discussions/meetings to overview voice recording sessions troubleshooting any problematic areas.
-Preparation of scripts for voice recordings.
-Developing time management skills which are vital in order to work successfully within the animation industry.
 

HOBBIES AND INTERESTS

A keen volunteer for community service at the Merton Guild.
 
Creative Activities: Keeping my creative talents fresh and constantly developing my skills is a strong belief of mine. I enjoy trying my hand at poetry to keep my creative thought process fresh. I create my own story plots and ideas as well sometimes just to keep my ability to think about characters, moods, settings and other important factors of story telling at their sharpest. Listening to music and reading are two more big creative outlets for me. I am a strong believer that a creative idea can come from anywhere at anytime.
